OUR HISTORY
Frank R. and Elizabeth Simoni established The Simoni Foundation to support charitable efforts in their community.
Frank R. Simoni, the founder of The Simoni Companies, was a prominent real estate developer operating in the Greater Boston area. He created the Simoni Foundation to give back to the communities that supported him personally and professionally.
After serving in the military during World War II, Frank began his real estate business as a home builder, recognizing the high demand for homeownership as fellow soldiers returned to the United States. Over the course of his career in real estate, he built thousands of residences and eventually transitioned into larger-scale commercial and residential development. The Simoni Companies developed and operated apartment buildings, strip malls, office buildings, nursing homes, hotels, and golf course properties. Through it all, Frank worked side-by-side with his wife Elizabeth (Betty), even sharing an office, as they grew their business.
Frank spent the majority of his life living and working in the towns of Norwood, Canton, and Sharon, Massachusetts, and he attributed a great deal of his professional success to these towns. Since Frank's death in 1997, Betty has worked to honor his memory through managing and expanding the business he founded and supporting the charitable efforts of the Frank R. and Elizabeth Simoni Foundation.
